is ideal for short excursions and visits. We recomend that you visit one or all the wineries around Goumenissa (Boutari, Aidarini, Tatsis) for a wine tasting, the Blue Lagoon, near the village of Skra and the archaeological sites of Pella and Evropos. There are of course many more beautiful places for you to discover!
V.Q.P.R.D. Goumenissa is recognized since 1979, and it is a dry red wine produced from the local varieties Xinomavro and Negoska. It is deep-coloured, with a supple taste and a fruity bouquet, and it is left ot mature for at least a year in small oak barrels.
Brass bands is another tradition in Goumenissa. For generations, the music culture of the area is preserved through the local brass bands, known as "Chalkina tis Goumenissas"
